8430 Tinnitus and Hyperacusis: Theories, Evaluation and Treatment
This course is designed to explore the fundamental principles and clinical management of tinnitus and/or hyperacusis. Course material includes information concerning epidemiology, tinnitus mechanisms, measurement, treatment and resources for audiologists, patients and their families. A literature review and discussion of studies related to misophonia will also be addressed. Case examples will be discussed, illustrating treatment options. (4 weeks/1.5 credits)
