Jean-Pierre Gagné, Ph.D. is a Professor of Audiology at the Université de Montréal. Currently, he holds the Endowed Research Chair Caroline Durand in Hearing and Aging at the Université de Montréal. His teaching and research interests lie in the domain of audiological rehabilitation for older adults. Current research projects involve studies comparing listening effort in noise among younger and older adults, an investigation of self-stigma and ageism in older adults with and without hearing loss and the evaluation of the large scale hearing screening program for older adults. The latter topic will be the main focus of his presentation.
