Martin Pienkowski

Martin Pienkowski is an Associate Professor at Salus University’s Osborne College of Audiology (Philadelphia, USA).  After a degree in biophysics from the University of Toronto, he did graduate work in auditory neuroscience at U of T’s Institute of Biomedical Engineering and The Hospital for Sick Children, followed by two postdocs at Sweden’s Karolinska Institute and the University of Calgary.  He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed articles on a wide range of topics spanning most of the auditory field.  Current research interests include hearing loss and its effects on the brain, including the pathophysiology of tinnitus and hyperacusis.
