Mathias Dietz

In his PhD, as a research associate (both in Oldenburg, Germany 2006-2011), and as a research fellow at the UCL Ear Institute (London, UK 2011-2012) he studied the normal-hearing binaural system using multiple experimental and simulation methods. 2012-2015 he was a Junior Group Leader in the Cluster of Excellence “Hearing 4 all” (Oldenburg) where he built the cochlear implant research laboratory. Since 2016 he is a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Binaural Hearing at the National Centre for Audiology at Western University. He also holds a European Research Council Staring Grant for “Individualized Binaural Diagnostics and Technology” in Oldenburg.
