Matthew Winn is an associate professor at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences. He obtained a PhD and Doctor of Audiology from the University of Maryland. After working as a clinical audiologist, he did a postdoc at the University of Wisconsin focusing on cochlear implants. He currently directs the Listen Lab in Minnesota, which is dedicated to studying speech communication and listening effort in people with hearing loss.
