Melanie Ferguson

Dr. Melanie Ferguson is a Consultant Clinical Scientist (audiology) and Associate Professor in Hearing Sciences at the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre, UK.  Her research programme on Mild to Moderate Hearing Loss aims to promote healthy hearing by reducing activity limitations and participation restrictions. Key research themes are (i) e-health and self-management, (ii) listening and cognition, and (iii) listening devices, underpinned by health psychology theory and patient-centred care. She is currently the Vice-chair for the British Society of Audiology, member of the AAA Strategic Documents committee, and is a full member of the NICE Guidelines Committee for Hearing Loss.
