Richard Salvi

Richard Salvi is a SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Science and is the Director for the Center for Hearing and Deafness at the University at Buffalo.  Salvi received his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Syracuse University and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.  He has a long standing interest in noise-induced hearing loss, ototoxicity, aging, tinnitus, hyperacusis, functional brain imaging, neuroplasticity, cell death, regeneration and otoprotection.  He has served on many editorial boards, grant review panels and advisory boards.
