Bob Harrison attended UK universities, training in biological sciences, and earning two doctoral degrees in auditory neuroscience. His basic laboratory research explores inner ear function as well as central auditory brain development and neuroplasticity. He is also involved in clinical research including studies in pediatric cochlear implantation, and in auditory neuropathy SD. He has a philosophy to take new basic science discoveries and translate them to promote improved hearing healthcare. Bob is currently Professor, and Vice-Chair (research) of the Department of Otolaryngology – HNS at the University of Toronto, and is a Senior Scientist in Neurosciences & Mental Health at SickKids hospital.
