Tanis graduated from the University of British Columbia, receiving her Master of Science in Audiology. Over the past 30 years, her practice has been within the public health system and included several roles: clinical audiologist, cochlear implant team coordinator, professional practice leader, and manager of audiology services. Currently, Tanis is the Director of Provincial Audiology with Alberta Health Services. In this role, she provides professional practice leadership for audiology across the province and clinical leadership to Alberta’s Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Program.
