Ben Hornsby

Ben Hornsby is an Associate Professor in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Hornsby’s broad research interests focus on the speech understanding difficulties of adults and children with hearing loss and the underlying factors responsible for those difficulties. He is also interested in how individual differences in speech understanding difficulties are related to the psychosocial impact of hearing loss and benefit from rehabilitation. His current research focuses on relationships between hearing loss-related communication difficulties, mental effort, and fatigue.
