Dr. Hela Azaiez is an Assistant Professor of Medical and Molecular Genetics at Indiana University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the genetic and genomic basis of hearing loss and how genetic discoveries can improve the understanding, diagnosis, and management of auditory disorders. She leads large-scale efforts to interpret genes and genetic variants associated with hearing loss and collaborates internationally to translate genomic evidence into clinically relevant knowledge for hearing healthcare.
