Lorin MacDonald

Lorin MacDonald is a disability rights lawyer and a law professor, teaching Disability Law. Born with bilateral sensorineural profound hearing loss, she has spent over 30 years advocating for communication inclusion — advancing the use of subtitles, CART, and accessible environments as essential tools for full participation. Honoured by the legal, disability, and women’s communities, Lorin is a Member of the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario, and a regular contributor to the Canadian Academy of Audiology’s newsletter.
