Patti-Jo Sullivan is the Director of Provincial Audiology with Alberta’s Health Shared Services, Allied Health Professions Team where she provides provincial leadership for the advancement of audiology practice, service delivery, workforce development, and hearing health initiatives across Alberta. With more than 18 years of experience spanning clinical practice, healthcare leadership, post-secondary education, and system-level planning, Patti-Jo is passionate about strengthening hearing healthcare through collaboration, innovation, and evidence-informed practice.

A strong advocate for practice-based innovation, Patti-Jo believes some of the most impactful improvements in healthcare originate from the clinicians closest to patient care. One of her greatest professional interests is identifying challenges encountered in frontline practice, supporting teams to develop innovative solutions, and creating opportunities to evaluate and refine those solutions. She is particularly interested in how practice leadership can foster a culture of inquiry, continuous improvement, and knowledge translation to advance both clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Through her role, Patti-Jo works closely with clinicians, researchers, educators, operational leaders, and healthcare partners to promote excellence in audiology services and support the evolution of hearing healthcare systems. She is passionate about leveraging research to inform practice while ensuring that the realities and experiences of frontline clinicians continue to shape the future of the profession.
