Dr. Thomas Lunner is a pioneering researcher in cognitive hearing science whose work has revolutionized audiology. Earning his PhD from Linköping University, he played a foundational role in developing the world’s first digital hearing aid in 1995, profoundly improving lives globally. With extensive experience spanning Meta’s Reality Labs Research and previously Oticon’s Eriksholm Research Centre, he explores the intersection of hearing technology and cognitive functions. Currently Thomas leads the audio research in Augmented Hearing at Meta Reality Labs Research in Redmond, WA, USA.
